Bondage Night by Gabriel Ricard
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
“Bondage Night shows us the vicious climax of a chaotic, intense, compulsory love affair between two unhappy, unrealistic people.”
Unhappy and unrealistic? Can I say that is what life is for you!? ๐
We are all dysfunctional. We are not normal. We are still learning, if we listen.
Well, after a while, every “real” person struggles with their own mood.
A lot of questions fill the air as a lot of rules and conditions.
Some of the questions will never get answered but maybe, the most important one is already there, though they are not ready to see it yet.
A fight to control every emotion, to understand first, themselves, then, each other.
A way to save what they now miss and can’t seem to reach.
The way they fell for each other, the first touch, the first everything.
But yeah playing the same game can be exhausting, watch carefully every movement, every moment, every need.
Find happiness together can be very hard, but at least they both agreed on something.
Perhaps they were thinking too much about it, about well, everything…
The environment has noisy, vicious and broken.
If they find a natural way to relax, probably they would see.
But like the author wrote, there is no question that when they finally see,
neither one of them ever going to be the same again.
That’s acceptance and compromise.
I’ve enjoyed reading this story.
