Talking about book covers. Don’t believe fans don’t care about the cover… Yeah they care about what you write, for me, book covers matter. I’ve been more selective through the years and some covers are a no no.
I know is not always your choice, sometimes it’s up with the publisher but there are rules… You’ll never win fans over if you can’t get them to read in the first place. Good cover designs make them choose, and sometimes read your description and then hit the jackpot. If you’re consistent with your choice and theme. All your fans will one-click.
Don’t waste your time in a cover that no one notices. Then again what do readers notice? Your name, if they already know your stuff. If not what ? Book covers, in Romance or any other genre but mostly Romance, (the genre I’ve search more) it seems to be a pattern. And I hate it.

Not particularly original, right? Don’t be afraid to be different. But try to look professional. Don’t look like a template. What makes a good impression? Simplicity and originality. Don’t be afraid to be different, aim unique. Don’t be obvious, but don’t be invisible. Be bold, you are creative at writing right? So why not? What makes it special or unique?
