...waiting to be awake...
... dreaming in colors...
I'm me. I'm true I feel, I paint. I play with paint, piano, even my guitar.
Last, I write... oh and I smile everyday :)
My first poem here:
Years ago we spent seven minutes in a closet. Now Dante Crowne and I are hidden away in his remote cottage. And he wants much more than seven minutes. He wants everything.
With the paparazzi hot on her heels, Mandy Bettencourt is desperate for a place to hide, and her best friend has just the place. It’s perfect. No Internet. No phone. A deep bathtub she’s soaking in when HE shows up. Her best friend’s brother, Dante Crowne. Rich as a cardinal sin and handsome enough to piss off the devil. A man with a reputation for unforgettable bedroom games. From those seven minutes in a closet, Mandy can tell you, the rumors are all true. Dante knows he’s got a reputation for a lot of things, but there’s a beautiful socialite in his bathtub, and the memory of those seven minutes isn’t inspiring him to kick her out. So he offers her a deal. If she wants to stay, she has to work. If she makes a mistake, she’s corrected with pink hand marks on her backside. That’s the deal. Beg for it or leave it. He’s surprised when she gets on her knees, and he’s even more surprised when she likes the punishment. The most shocking thing, though, is how much he’s starting to like her. But they can’t stay in paradise forever. Los Angeles awaits. But an old nemesis sets his sights on tearing them apart, and Dante may be the one left begging. — **Crowne Rules is a complete STANDALONE. You don’t have to read any of the Crowne Brothers books to pick this up, but you might want to once you’re done with Dante.**
COLTON CROWNE The ne’er-do-well brother who blew his inheritance returns to his family with his pockets out and no plan whatsoever. He’s living in Byron and Olivia’s guest house and after one party too many they’ve laid down the law. No guests or he can get the hell out.
He’s offered a golden opportunity. Produce Cheryy Candyy’s first single. She’s got a voice like a handful of rocks and a personality like a box of razor blades, but there’s no man more overconfident than a Crowne brother.
Cherryy (AKA Susan) wishes Colton would fall into a trapdoor in the floor. But she needs him too. All she ever wanted to do was fulfill her mother’s legacy and become a singer. But why is she doing it in a garage with this asshole? And why does she have to sneak around his double-asshole brother?
“I’m going to kill her. You’d better come if you want to save her.” Lorraine—“Rainy”—lives at the top of Tiger Mountain. Remote, moody, cloistered in pine trees and fog, it’s a sanctuary, a new life. She can hide from the disturbing past she wants to forget.
If she’s allowed to.
When Rainy reluctantly agrees to a girls’ weekend in Vegas, she’s prepared for an exhausting parade of shots and slot machines. But after a wild night, her friend Braithe doesn’t come back to the hotel room.
And then Rainy gets the text message, sent from Braithe’s phone: someone has her. But Rainy is who they really want, and Rainy knows why. What follows is a twisted, shocking journey on the knife-edge of life and death. If she wants to save Braithe—and herself—the only way is to step back into the past.
This seething, gut-punch of a thriller can only have sprung from the fiendish brain of Tarryn Fisher, one of the most cunning writers of our time.

Storm Fox By Jonny Armstrong (USA), Highly Commended In Animal Portraits
The fox was busy searching in the shallows for salmon carcasses – sockeye salmon that had died after spawning. At the water’s edge, Jonny was lying on his chest, aiming for a low, wide angle. The vixen was one of only two red foxes resident on the tiny island in Karluk Lake, on Alaska’s Kodiak Island, and she was surprisingly bold. Jonny had followed her over several days, watching her forage for berries, pounce after birds and playfully nip at the heels of a young brown bear. Taking advantage of the window of deepening atmospheric light created by a storm rolling in, he was after a dramatic portrait. But working with a manual flash, he had to pre set the power for a soft spotlight – just enough to bring out the texture of her coat at relatively close range. Now he was hoping she would come closer. As she did, his companion and fellow researcher raised up the diffused flash for him. It was just enough to pique her curiosity, giving Jonny his atmospheric portrait – studio-style – moments before the deluge of rain.
