My review
MY REVIEW:
My first impression tells me that Gray is someone who learned through life what’s best for everyone.
Forgets what’s best for him everyday…
But life made him cautious and is somewhat understandable.
Life goes so fast!
He knows what he doesn’t want but afraid to know what he wants and
what time is left to follow that dream he thinks is lost…
Families can be a bit of a challenge, when you’ve been away for so long,
yet sometimes it’s good to feel home.
No matter how hard it gets!
A “song” is missing from his life. I wonder if he knows how it will be written…

When the door closed behind her for a second time, Caitie bit down a smile and slowly turned to look at Breck. He was leaning on the wall, arms folded across his chest, the skin at the corner of his eyes crinkling up as he smiled at her.

“Hello,” he said, his smile widening.

“Hi.”

She felt breathless as the air around them snapped and crackled. The hairs on her neck stood up. Breck slowly pushed off the wall and walked over to the sofa where she was standing, his strides long and confident.

Caitie didn’t move. She wasn’t even sure if she could. Her muscles were tense with anticipation, her skin tingling with need. There was a half-smile on his lips as he reached out for her chin, using the pads of his fingers to tip her face up.

“Cait…” His voice caressed her ears. She loved the way her name sounded on his lips.

“Did you know you’re the only one who calls me that?” she asked breathlessly.

“Do you mind?”

She shook her head slowly, his fingers still holding her. “No. I like it.” Too much.

He took another step forward, his eyes firmly on hers. “I like it, too,” he said. “The same way I like you.”

Her chest tightened. Standing so close to him felt overwhelming. She could smell the woody scent of his cologne, feel his firm touch as his fingers caressed her jaw. Everywhere she looked, all she saw was him.

“Where were we last week?” he asked her.

The corner of her lip quirked up. “Remind me?”

He chuckled and lowered his head until his lips were a breath away from hers. She could see the thickness of his eyelashes, the strong line of his nose, the warmth of his skin where it was kissed by the California sun.

“I think it was a little like this,” he murmured, brushing his lips against hers.

When I sit down to write about this series I get the feeling of warmth, kindness, family and love. It’s so welcoming like I’m visiting friends after some months apart.

I don’t know if it’s the beach, the community, the Christmas theme or the characters but definitely the mind and words from Carrie Elks that leave me hopeful and happy… it’s so nice to have this connection. 

I really enjoy getting to know everyone in Angel Sands. 

I do recommend this book and it’s a must to catch up with the other books in the series!

Somehow, Brooke managed to pull herself together. She let out a mouthful of air and nodded at the man in front of her. “We’ve met before,” she said, her voice thin. “Hello, Aiden.”

He said nothing for a moment, but she could feel those dark eyes taking every inch of her in. There was something unfamiliar about him. It wasn’t quite foreboding but it was on the borderline. She got the impression nobody messed with Aiden Black.

A shiver snaked down her spine.

“Brooke,” he finally said, holding his hand out for her to shake as though they were mere acquaintances. “How are you?”

For a moment she considered giving him a honest answer. Shocked. Nauseous. Wondering where the hell he’d been for the past ten years. “I’m good, thank you,” she replied, holding his hand firmly in hers. It was warm, strong, and sent the biggest jolt up her arm. In spite of the heat, her skin broke out in goose bumps.

“And your parents? Are they well?” The corner of his lip curled up. Was that a sneer?

“They’re good, too.” She nodded. “And you? How have you been?”

There was a twitch in the corner of his jaw. His face was as sculpted as she remembered. Though he was freshly shaven, she could remember the way it felt as she pressed her lips against his stubbled chin, kissing her way along his jawbone.

Stop it, Brooke.She didn’t need to be thinking about this, not now, and not ever.

My Review:

The story line is very well written and grabs your attention from the beginning to the end. Although is  book 3 in the series, we can read it as a stand alone book. This is a second chance tale told by two former lovers reunited 10 years later.

A lot went through those 10 years and not everyone is happy.

Interesting plot and twist, although I would love to know more. But that’s the chemistry and mystery about Angel Sands.

There were other great characters whose stories were from the other two books in the Angel Sands series. It was lovely to come back to the beach and catch up with them.

We read about love but specially about friendships that I do appreciate and enjoy about Angel Sands life.

I recommend all 3 books in the series.

I will miss them.

Ally bit down a smile and looked at Nate, who was still hovering in the doorway.

“It’s okay. You don’t have to paint my nails. I can probably manage if I bend over enough.”

He looked at the bottle Riley had shoved in his hands. “It’s a nice color.”

“Riley chose it.”

He took a step inside then hesitated, looking over at Ally. “Is it okay if I come in?” he asked.

“Of course it is. It’s your house.”

“But it’s your room.”

His words made her feel warm. As though she finally belonged somewhere.

“Come in. It’s nice to have the company.”

He walked up to the bed, and looked down at her feet. “Let’s do this thing,” he said, sitting down in the space his daughter had vacated. “I don’t want to incur the wrath of Riley.”

“Do you even know how to paint nails?” Ally asked, trying to keep her voice even. It felt so intimate, having him here in the room when she was wearing only a tank and sleep shorts. God only knew how much more intimate it would feel once he touched her.

And if he painted her toes, he’d definitely have to touch her.

She wasn’t sure how she felt about that.

You know, we’ve always hope for that summer dream.

Those lazy, calm, happy, lovely days.

 

Angel sands it’s the perfect scenery, a small town, everyone knows each other and they live one day after another, breathing the place with heart and soul.

Every change, every small event is taken seriously and everyone takes part and does whatever they can to make that change better.

You feel it if you’re born there or if you moved there.

That’s life what happened to this couple, Nate and Ally are from different worlds, but they take the chance, they need and eventually want the same, before they know it, but can only take the jump together.

No spoilers for you, wouldn’t you want to know this slow burn aching to explode? I guess you need to read it and then let me know if I’m true.

I’m giving it five stars just because it made me dream of that special place hidden in my heart.
