Review: It Ends with Us

It Ends with Us
It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Naked truth.
The question I ask the most, but terrified of the answer, the effect it has on me. The how right I was about my instincts.

Sometimes I just walk around the precipice so I don’t get allured to fall. Although I like the invitation…

Most things are so beautiful, but somehow kind of scary, when you push all the buttons. Don’t say I didn’t warn you! But be brave.

It’s how awesome this story is!

Naked truth? Maybe you are not ready for it!

Review: The Harvest Moon

The Harvest Moon
The Harvest Moon by David Neth

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

My second read/listen from David Neth.

I’m going deep in the witchcraft community, this is how this author writing lets me in, it’s so easy.

I met some characters I’ve really enjoyed. I like the way the story is written. Makes you relate to some of our strengths and weaknesses. It’s like they could survive in a normal life, they could be my neighbor friends 🙂 and I’d love to help them.

I liked how Danielle and Simon met and how they interact together and try to survive
this menacing take on their family.

I wish Holly and Drew well in whatever relation they might possibly have.
I also loved Toxanna’s name and evilness. no matter what family you’re born, what side you’re on, you fight to survive. Great character.

Seeking justice in this dark world it’s hard, but I still have hope.

I’ve enjoyed this adventure! Ready for another 🙂

Review: Kinky Carnival Games: Maybe Mandy 1

Kinky Carnival Games: Maybe Mandy 1
Kinky Carnival Games: Maybe Mandy 1 by C.C. Genovese

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

My first C. C. Genovese story and I must say I’ll never think of a Carnival the same way. Ha ha.
Sweet little story, written with a very sexy female voice, a funny and intelligent character.

This short novella is a great fast read for the Summer, vacations…
Oh well, in Winter it will be fun too!

Don’t read it in a room full of people, they may find/caught you … Dreaming 🙂 and by dreaming I mean… Well, read the book!

The story is about one of Mandy’s very erotic, steamy and first sexual encounter after a five, six months dry… whatever you wanna call it 😉

Reading it, it was like a 3 set part of a wet dream 🙂 Those that we can’t shake off. It definitely shows us who we are and what we really want. I definitely was rooting for Mandy.

Not a very good start of a typical day in life, when we’re a little scare, afraid to talk even and picture all those sexy thoughts and images we live through our roommate’s sex life, cause we haven’t any! 🙂

Mandy you got to do something!

Thanks to her friend, she accepts going out on a blind date with her friend’s boyfriend friend.
Oh Boy!

A Carnival of fantasies.
A very hot sexual encounter with a stranger, who became essential to Mandy’s look in her life from now on, much more positive where’s sex is concerned.
She’s free to do whatever she wants, she’s bold, an adventurer! Yay!

Enjoyable read, refreshing, entertaining, it was a lot of fun!
It was really easy to follow, loved the characters, you don’t want to stop reading.

#Gimme 2nd book now!

Review: Damned if I Do

Damned if I Do
Damned if I Do by Erin Hayes

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I’ll add my review in the weekend …probably not …but today 🙂

I had a great weekend! :))

Damned if I Do is my second book by Erin Hayes. As her most recent work, it’s interesting to know how she’s progressing, in my opinion, as a storyteller. Good job, well done!

It’s a paranormal romance, my second one to listen to.
I’m not that used to vampire/slayer stories in books 🙂

The story flows really well, even though the characters had a past
we don’t get to learn a lot about, (maybe in an earlier first book??),
I’ve connected with the characters in no time. They are very likable!

A solid but dangerous world, full of action, drama, strengths and weaknesses, unexpected twists… you’ll see… oh the life and death situations.

Very emotional when it comes to family, our values and relying on the ones you didn’t expect…

A copy of this book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review that I gladly write right now!

Would love to read/listen to all of your stories. Glad I met you and helped you name Lucas 😉

Review: Sloth

Sloth by Ella James

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sinful Secrets

Not enough for 5 stars
Want to know why? Well ’cause I think the book dragged for a really long time.
Wasn’t that fond or in need of all the explicit sex scenes, scenes I understand were to make a point.
A certain kind f readers perhaps…
Did it had a point? Sure if you like to have steamy sex while reading it 🙂

The story line was good, I’ve connected to the main characters before it dragged.
I can related to hurt and grief.

Took a little of my breath away… Just a little, by the end, now…

The end, in my opinion was very predictable.

Long story short, it was well written I can give you that.
Although it dragged a bit and I understand I’m saying dragging 2, 3 times…
It was enjoyable.

If you like angst, secrets, lies, want to hurt, Love, care, enter the unknown with a little kinky,
you will enjoy Sloth, animal and sin.

Review: The Full Moon

The Full Moon
The Full Moon by David Neth

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This is the first work I’ve read/listen from this author, who kindly gifted me his story.
My curiosity for Urban Fantasy, Paranormal, Magical Romance 🙂 led me to this very honest review. Bare with me. I haven’t read that much Urban Fantasy but the setting appealed to me,
an interesting premise. I was very curious.
First, it was funny to listen to a male narrator tell a story through the perspective of a female lead character. The first chapters kept my attention, I liked the interaction in the book.
The way the characters were described along with the story line, was satisfying and kept me engaged.

Although I had some questions…

How the hell the dumbest Witch learns the best spells? Lucky girl!
Fantasy, right? Really! 🙂
How was she not suspicious?
Was it so easy to believe that Lawyer?
So many warnings… (I’m shaking my head 🙂 …)

At the beginning Kathy had questions but after some blurry visions, powerful spells, adding her sad dull life to the mix, she gets completely deeply involved. Magic!
I don’t think she would last long with all those attacks without Will’s help, spell, whatever that was, but very lucky Witch indeed!

I was very apprehensive with Will, something was wrong.

Another question… Freeze and tele(trans)porting would solve many issues if you remember you have powerful magic… they were struggling with money, Mind and Time magic would do the trick.
Seemed a little childish at times but well, who doesn’t want to be a kid again?

Then two sisters break their relationship because of a Dark Knight… bad boy, Will…
Someone they don’t know at all and sisters, Sisters! Know each other since they were born, same blood, lots of love, family? Besides they are Witches! Huh I didn’t feel the warmth… maybe because they were magical and were hiding from the “normal”… but where was the emotion, the feelings?

By now it seems the story goes full speed, however I like the way the action and the different scenarios blend. Until everybody wants to kill everybody 🙂
And no ones goes to work anymore 🙂

It was fun! I’ve enjoyed this read, I think it will keep evolving!

Thank you David!

Review: Kill it with Magic

Kill it with Magic
Kill it with Magic by J.A. Cipriano

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Almost 4 stars!

Why? Because I like the writing, the pacing was fun. So many adventures in between!

Kill It With Magic is book one in the Lillim Callina Chronicles by J.A. Cipriano.

The Author kindly offer me a free read.

I don’t normally read “YA” Fantasy books. It was my first.

The book starts out with lots of crazy action and it goes on until the end.

There were so many characters and some came up from nowhere and I was a little lost…had no idea why they were there and part of the story, hopefully they will be revealed in the future. I think there is a previous book about Lillim…

Talking about Lillim. I liked Lillim, she was easy to like, although she was always fighting for her name, after that not forgotten reincarnation, why did people remember.
It was really bad …I guess.

It was just funny, how she was that strong, had a lot of magic, but young to know how to use it, so much power, no time to learn, just react, to help an ex boyfriend…hmm…getting almost killed and be 100% renewed the next day or hour and getting nauseated all the time!!!! hahahaha

Teletransportation by phone, wow! Like a super dangerous roller coaster with no end!

The read or listening was enjoyable, the narrator did help with the pace of the story.

Had a “Kill Bill” fantasy magic paranormal supernatural moment 🙂
