‘A lingering idea that I just couldn’t ignore.’ – Jodi Ellen Malpas

Jodi Ellen Malpas wrote her debut series, The This Man Trilogy, in secret, worried about what people might think if they knew what her imagination was capable of. She was shocked herself. But she finally found the courage to unleash her creative streak and self-published THIS MAN – the first book of the This Man Trilogy – in October 2012.

She took a chance on a story with a hero who soon became one of modern day fictions most prolific alpha male characters.

Jesse Ward – also affectionately known as The Lord of The Manor, sparked incredible reactions from women across the globe and catapulted Jodi into the world of women’s fiction. With so much love and enthusiasm from her readers, and a thirst for more of her words, Jodi suddenly wasn’t afraid of her imagination anymore. She went on to write The One Night Trilogy with the delectable and mysterious Miller Hart, and stole the hearts of her readers once again. She’s now a proud #1 New York Times bestselling author – all six of her published novels having hit the New York Times best sellers list – as well as a Sunday Times bestseller and international best seller. Her work is published in over 20 languages across the world.

Jodi was born and raised in the Midlands town of Northampton, England, where she lives with her two boys and a beagle. She is a self-professed daydreamer, a Converse & mojito addict, and has a terrible weak spot for Alpha Males.

Writing powerful love stories and creating addictive characters has become her passion – a passion she now shares with her devoted readers

My Reviews:

This Man (This Man, #1)This Man by Jodi Ellen Malpas

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Well I have some questions to ask crazy Jesse if Ava doesn’t in the second book! Come on girl, talk!

I can’t believe some girl at twenty six or so would love a stalker, a control freak, a liar, an impossible man, just for his looks, ok sure he is a sex bomb!

God or not he would scared me, or made me laugh…seriously! I either had to laugh or smack him hard and run!

Where are the pills Ava, if I was 26 I’ll be pissed if I didn’t find them and use a condom instead, pregnancy alert your way full speed!

Ava’s work; to meet people or clients she has to do some work before, right? Know their history, but she doesn’t… Ava are you blind?

This girl has been manipulated, controlled, lied to repeatedly.
Ask him the things you want, he saw every corner of you used every bit and you still only ask his age?

I like Jesse’s story and I know he is fucked up, I know there’s much to learn about him, let’s hope she wants to know more too, but at this time Ava doesn’t have a clue of what to do, I’m hoping she grows in time, on the 2nd book!

Beneath This Man (This Man, #2)Beneath This Man by Jodi Ellen Malpas

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Jesse is an impossible man! He is controlling, a stalker, so arrogant, unbelievable unreasonable, crazy … going insane.

Something drives him, to be like that…

Has an obsessive personality, not that it would be the only excuse for him, he seems broken. He believes Ava is the only one who can save him, but then he runs to Sarah?… Needs physical pain to wash away all the problems?

Still lying, not talking about it, doesn’t think she needs to know ? Doesn’t like Ava’s swearing? I think he does !

Cheating, deceiving… the pills again… the drinking issue… who turns to another woman in the time of need … but think Ava is the one?

And Ava please grow up… frustrating girl wanting to be a woman. I can’t seem to like her more in this book …I just wanted to strangle her… 🙂

Maybe she’s insane like Jesse and forgives him because she doesn’t know anything else… towards the end she tries to get straight in to his mind, playing the same game, made me like her a little more but still isn’t enough. Let’s see I’m curious for the 3rd book!

And the countdown! ****

I had a few good laughs of how this was so f… up!

Ohhh and the rowing machine! That, I liked! 🙂 Made me read that scene more than once!

Last , thinking of all the others characters, I really like John!
He is the only normal… “S’all good!”

This Man Confessed (This Man, #3)This Man Confessed by Jodi Ellen Malpas

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I’ll write something when I’m ready… Well I liked a lot!

October first 2016 , I think I’ll never be ready hahaha

Today:

It’s really hard to review without spoilers for this one!

All I can say is I liked it a lot!

Jesse is one of a kind!

You have to read it!

I recommend this series ❤

Promised (One Night, #1)

Promised by Jodi Ellen Malpas
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Prologue was a little off and annoying, we are left second guessing for a while, what this was all about and it dragged for a bit, but we get there! We start to know Livy and her actions, understanding something about her, her mother’s past and Livy’s issues with men.

She sounded desperate to hide but then she jumps straight on, with M a (mystery) man she just met, a little weird, don’t you think? She wants to feel alive, she needs to take that risk, when with him, exploring, but at the same time she runs away at the first obstacle she encounters… insecure and a little childish…keeps apologizing her life with the situation of taking care of her Nan and not becoming her mother…

Nan was a funny lady and her 80% gay friend too!

It starts as an arrangement, this can never end well, we are talking about feelings, not transactions, but this couple doesn’t know this simple fact yet and with a lot of sensual scenes, yes, chemistry between them? Didn’t felt that, I think it was forced, but they both needed a distraction and they were going to learn hard, either way.

Livy jumps into a new thing… M. M was a little hard to like. Controlling , compulsive, possessive, stalker in a creepy way, no emotion what so ever, he never smiled. He act like he owned her, that grab her neck almost hurting thing… stressful… his poker face… and the way he talked, he spoke like he was older and very repetitive, was annoying me! As you wish my a**!

“I’ll never hurt you, I will worship you for 24 hours…” A man all about manners, but only to himself… Didn’t like his personality, he was correcting everything about her like he was better… There are some alphas and there’s M… he did know how to pleasure slowly though, but that’s all, we kind of forget about that with his coldness.

We found out a lot more about M when the book it’s almost over, I saw that coming but never expect that aggressive end… and Jody please! You’ve done it! I want to know more and now I have to wait for the second book!

I’m not quite finish with you, Miller!
But I love Jesse Ward!

One Night: DeniedOne Night: Denied by Jodi Ellen Malpas

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I was wondering it was just me or this story was going pretty well for the half of the book and then I got stuck, bored…

Confused, a lot of repeat scenes, back and forth relationship… I was done already! I thought I had missed something, go back and re-read it, made less sense than earlier…

Miller is messed-up and an intense part-time gentlemen, we actually know a little more about him, but does that make me understand him?

I don’t know… I don’t like the way his problems, issues are breaking Livvy. Doesn’t he know that? What an absorbed messed up couple.

The questions in the book remain, annoying me, so many opportunities to make this story much more interesting.

They are running away, wait Livvy is leaving Nan?

I know many people loved this series so I’m not one of those “interferers” 🙂

One Night: Unveiled (One Night Trilogy, Book 3)One Night: Unveiled by Jodi Ellen Malpas

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I was eager to learn about every secret. I was disappointed. Half of this book was just sex and more sex, if you like it, it’s OK, but I was thinking if it goes on and on what it would be left?

I was worried the more I read… repetition after repetition… too much. They were running from the problems and the problems were getting bigger.

Then finally, thank you! Miller as to make a big hard decision, the only way to be free. But it’s Olivia who makes it happen. Sweet girl becomes a very strong lady.

One night it was, becomes a lifetime.

This book was OK, not fascinating and not enough to be worshiped.

But Miller will be remembered, the special one, part-time gentleman who ask only once and who demands his thing.

The Protector

The Protector

People think they have Camille Logan nailed: daddy’s girl; beautiful, spoiled young woman with her father’s bank balance to fund her lifestyle. But Camille is determined to have a life free from his strings. Out on her own, she’s made mistakes, including one that found her clawing her way back after a stint in rehab and plenty of bad press. Now, after fighting so hard to be independent and happy, she finds her life threatened as a result of her father’s ruthless business dealings. Caught between resentment and fear, Camille prepares herself for the measures her father will take to protect her. But nothing could prepare her for the ex-SAS sniper who crashes into her life.

Jake Sharp resides in his own personal hell. He was distracted from duty once before, and the consequences were devastating–both personally and professionally. He vowed never to let that happen again. Accepting the job of bodyguard to Camille Logan isn’t the kind of distraction from his demons he should take. Women and Jake don’t mix well, yet protecting the heiress seems the lesser of two evils. But Jake soon discovers that she isn’t the woman she’s perceived to be. She’s warm, compassionate, her presence settling, and his duty to protect her soon goes deeper than a well-paid job, no matter how hard he fights it. He needs absolution. He comes to need Camille. But he knows he can’t have both.

About the short story…
Kelly has fallen into the humdrum of everyday life. Her fulfillment is found in the washing, the cleaning, the ironing and running herself into the ground with her job. She’s not sure when it happened, but the fun, spontaneity and excitement in her life was lost somewhere along the way.
So when she’s asked out on a date by a gorgeous man who demands her attention, Kelly’s not so sure she’s up for it. It’s been a while, to say the least. It would be easy to refuse, stay at home, finish that pile of ironing, and then answer some work emails. The thought of being so organised alone brings a smile to her face. But with the encouragement of her best friend, she bites the bullet and goes all out. Bye-bye ironing, hello gorgeous man. She doesn’t know where this Kelly has been, but she quite likes her, and she doesn’t plan on misplacing her again.
